Manitowoc Man Nabbed After Attempting to Steal from Fleet Farm

A 33 year old Manitowoc man was arrested yesterday evening after he attempted to take several items from Fleet Farm. An officer arrived at the store on South Rapids Road shortly after 5:00 PM, and waited outside for the suspect to leave the building. When he did, the officer chased him for a short ways into a parking lot in the 4500 block of Clipper Drive. The man was detained while officers checked the security camera footage with a member of the Loss Prevention team at Fleet Farm. The video showed the man place several items into a bag and attempt to leave out the back door with it. The alarm sounded and he took off. The suspect is now facing charges of Misdemeanor retail theft, and felony Bail Jumping.
