Oshkosh police have identified the individual that died after crashing his car into Lake Winnebago as a 23 year old Manitowoc Man. The vehicle was located two days ago, after a caller informed the Police Department of some damage to the Bowen Street Fishing Dock, which appeared to have been caused by a vehicle. Dive teams searched the waters and were able to find the vehicle about 150 yards from the dock, with the deceased man inside. An autopsy was being conducted yesterday, but we have not received any word on the results. The man was noticed to have been missing on May 20th, as the Manitowoc Police were called to perform a welfare check on the unidentified man. If you have any information on the case, you are encouraged to call the Oshkosh Police Department at (920) 236-5700.
