The second-leading scorer in the history of girls high school basketball in Wisconsin has announced she will play for the University of Virginia. Shemera Williams had originally committed to Marquette. While playing at the Milwaukee Academy of Science, she led the state in scoring three straight years. As a junior, she was the top scorer in the nation at almost 40 points-a-game. Only one Wisconsin girls high school player — Megan Gustafson — has scored more than the three-thousand-120 points Williams had during her career.
