The 19th annual Dick Rohrer Memorial “Badger Night” was held in Two Rivers, Saturday night. The evening’s featured speaker at the Community House was the former University of Wisconsin All-American-Linebacker Tarek Saleh. Saleh is on the board for the NFL Alumni Chapter in Madison and said his two biggest passions are Badger athletics and children’s charities. He tells Seehafer News that he still stays in touch with Coach Barry Alvarez, defensive line coach John Palermo and a number of his former teammates..adding.
Saleh says even though he missed being a teammate of Manitowoc native & Lincoln Graduate, Don Davey, by one year…the former Woodbridge, Connecticut athlete was influenced to come to Madison by Davey.
Bob Bergeon, President of Neshotah Charitable Foundation, said they were able to donate about $14-thousand dollars from last year’s Badger Night to underprivileged youth in the community.
Mark Rohrer, whose late father Dick started Badger Night almost 20-years ago, and is in charge of the banquet program, said…..
