
Sunlight provided a picturesque showcase for the innovative designs and outstanding science, engineering, technology, and math skills at Wisconsin Public Service’s (WPS) 23rd annual Solar Olympics, yesterday on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus. Several area schools were represented at the event, including gold medals for Valders High School and their Solar Water Heater, and their Solar Structure. Mishicot and Chilton High Schools also took part in the competition. In the team competition, Green Bay Southwest High School took top honors, while Valders High School and Wausau West High School finished in second and third place, respectively.
