The Lakeshore Humane Society has a couple of fundraising events planned for this week. We spoke with Shelter Manager Tina Nichols, who told us about a fundraising event that will be taking place Thursday night. “We are doing an all you can eat spaghetti dinner,” Tina told us. “It is at the Manitowoc Yacht Club, and will go from 4:30-7:00”. The Manitowoc Yacht Club is located at 815 Maritime Dr.
For those who like to have an old fashioned or other cocktails with their meal, the Yacht Club will have their bar open. All of the food will be donated by a variety of restaurants in the area. Nichols explains, that Casa di Amici will provide the spaghetti, Meats Opera House will handle the breadsticks, and Pizza Ranch will be providing the salad.
Then on Saturday, volunteers will be at Festival Foods in Manitowoc, trying to Stuff the Van with donations. If you wish to help them fill their van, just show up and they will offer you a wish list of items you can purchase in the store.
The Lakeshore Humane Society cares for over 1,500 companion animals annually and places over 900 animals each year in responsible, permanent homes.
