The Two Rivers Police Department have released information on an “accidental shooting” that occurred on Tuesday, May 14.
Lieutenant Karen Elsenpeter reports that officers were dispatched to the area of 19th and School Street for a report of a subject that had fallen off of a bicycle. Responding officers located a teenage male with a head injury that was believed to be a gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation indicates the injury was accidental in nature. The juvenile male was transported to a local hospital by Two Rivers Fire Department Ambulance Personnel.
The investigation is ongoing and Lt. Elsenpeter has said there is no threat to the community.
