Speedy safety Darnell Savage didn’t give up a touchdown during his junior and senior seasons at Maryland. Savage ran an eye-opening four-point-36 time in the 40 at the N-F-L Combine and he says he was once timed at four-point-29. Since the Terrapins’ 2016 bowl game against Boston College, Savage was targeted for 94 passes, allowing no scores, intercepting seven passes and breaking up another 11. Savage says it isn’t just his speed, but the way he plays the game and his mindset that makes him a good player.
