The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of the Lakeshore gives everyone in the community a chance to help the organization save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
Former and current cancer patients, those who have lost a loved one to cancer, families, businesses, faith-based and civic organizations, and anyone wanting to make a difference in the fight against cancer are invited to take part in this event. Register your team today by clicking here or by calling 1-877-957-7848.
The Relay for Life of the Lakeshore will take place on July 26th, 2019. This year the event is being moved to Central Park in Two Rivers from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. This year’s theme is Fishing for a Cure.
Relay brings together people from all walks of life all aimed at celebrating the lives of those who have had cancer, remembering those lost and fighting back against the disease. Individuals and teams will gather at Central Park, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on the pathway at all times throughout the event. Teams do most of their fundraising prior to the event, but some teams also hold creative fundraisers at the Relay. Keep an eye on the Relay for Life of the Lakeshore Facebook page for updated fundraising events. Fundraisers can also be found on the Seehafer News events page.
“Relay for Life draws attention to the progress being made in the fight against cancer” said Sharon Wondrash volunteer Relay event chair. “Many participants are our family, friends, and neighbors who have faced cancer themselves. Their involvement helps bring that, together, we can eliminate cancer as a major health problem.”
