Crash in Hortonville Kills 10 Year Old

A crash between a car and a school bus yesterday morning resulted in the death of a 10 year old child. All names are being withheld at this time, but we do know that the boy was on his way to school at around 8:00 AM on Highway 15, when traffic slowed due to a vehicle taking a left turn. The vehicle carrying the boy hit the back end of a pickup truck, and careened into the eastbound lane. The Hortonville School District bus was traveling east, and struck the car head on. The boy’s mother, a 32 year old woman was taken to a hospital in Neenah to get treatment for her non-life threatening injury. The driver of the school bus, a 67-year-old Hortonville man, was taken to an Appleton hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The pickup truck driver was not hurt.
