The Manitowoc County Historical Society will be holding its annual Library card free day in conjunction with Manitowoc Public Library on Saturday, May 18. Visitors can show their Manitowoc-Calumet Library system card between 10:00 to 4:00 PM and get in free to the museum. A story time will be presented at 1:00 in the museum’s one-room schoolhouse, Shadyside School. Visitors can also take part in the free museum audio tour, which provides enhanced sharing of local history stories and the new family interactive scavenger hunt game. MCHS and the Manitowoc Public Library also have a Museum Pass Program that allows locals to visit the Historical Society’s museum for free at any time during the season. Manitowoc Public Library patrons will have the opportunity to check out a Museum Pass for this local museum, which includes the McAllister House Welcome Center.
