Wisconsin Republicans Ramp Up Efforts Against Abortion

Republican lawmakers have introduced four bills on abortion.  Although the legislation has almost no chance of making it past Democratic Governor Tony Evers, the measures could help energize the party’s base heading into the 2020 election.  The most significant bill would require doctors to care for infants born alive during an attempted abortion.  President Donald Trump spoke up in support of the born-alive bill during a rally in Green Bay last month.
