Milwaukee’s Fire Department is working with the Department of Health on a plan to slow down the city’s opioid crisis. It’s called the Milwaukee Overdose Response Initiative. Sponsors say they will offer specifics about the program at a Thursday meeting, with roll-out expected next month. The plan is aimed at making it easier to access treatment and it involves following up with overdose victims after treatment.
