More information has been released about the three people that were arrested in Two Rivers late last week. Two Rivers Police and Fire Personnel were joined at a home on the 2100 block of River Street in the city by the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office last Friday on a call about a two-year-old child who was unconscious and wasn’t breathing. Officers arrested the mother of the child, 27-year-old Rhena LeAnn Santiago, and her two roommates, 25-year-old Bianca Michelle Bush and 28-year-old David Robert Heiden. The victim had multiple bruises on his body and prosecutors said the child’s mother admitted she and the roommates ‘repeatedly hit the toddler with their hands, a shoe and a belt’ over the course of the last several months. Charges against Santiago include Physical Abuse of a Child-Reckless bodily harm, Neglect of a Child causing bodily harm, Prostitution, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bush faces Charges of Physical Abuse of a Child, Neglect-with bodily harm, keeping a place of Prostitution, Obstructing and possessing drug paraphernalia. Heiden is being charged with Physical Abuse of a Child, Neglect with bodily harm and possession of drug paraphernalia. An initial appearance is set May 6th 1:30. All three had bail hearings yesterday in Manitowoc County Circuit Court, where bond was set at $100,000 apiece.
