A 42-year-old Montello woman tells investigators she started a fire last weekend intending to kill herself and her former boyfriend. She says she changed her mind about dying and left without calling for help. Frances Rittman is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of arson. Daniel Gilmartin died in the fire in his home last Saturday. If she is convicted, Rittman could receive a life sentence.
