Manitowoc Teen and Girlfriend Caught on Camera Attempting to Steal a Pair of Items from Walmart

A Manitowoc teen was caught by the Walmart Asset Protection team attempting to steal a couple of items from the store. Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department were called to the retailer on Calumet Avenue at around 2:00 PM on Saturday, and were told by a team member that they saw the 19-year-old and his girlfriend enter the store,  then watched him conceal two boxes of Prilosec heartburn medicine in his coat, followed by a set of Bluetooth earbuds. The duo was able to leave the store, only to return half an hour later and attempt to return the items for cash. Before the team could verify that they had stolen the earbuds, they received the refund and walked out the door. Police are currently searching for the duo.
