A 24-year old Oconto Falls area man died as the result of a motorcycle crash in Brown County late yesterday afternoon. Lieutenant Jason McAuly said the driver was traveling north on I-41 about 5:45pm, when he exited on the ramp to eastbound State Highway-172. The victim then lost control of his motorcycle and slid off the roadway before striking a sign post. Several citizens, including one off-duty & one retired deputy, stopped to assist the injured motorist. The male, whose name is being withheld pending notification of the family, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead early last evening. Neither alcohol nor excessive speed appears to have been factors in the crash. Brown County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Ashwaubenon Fire & Rescue and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
