
Officers with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department were brought on a high speed chase over the weekend. A Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for erratic driving at around 5:30 Saturday afternoon on I-43 North, but the driver punched the accelerator. The Deputy pursued the vehicle, reaching speed of over 115 mph, before the vehicle exited onto Highway 42. Once the driver, a 25 year old male, reached Hidden Valley Road and Ajax Street , he entered the ditch, causing his tire to go flat, and he struck a squad car, a tree, and two parked vehicle before coming to a stop. The driver refused to cooperate, and was pepper sprayed, before being taken into custody. The unnamed driver is facing charges of fleeing an officer, hit and run, OWI, resisting arrest and possession of THC.
