Milwaukee Police Hang On To Pursuit Policy Despite Crashes

Milwaukee police say failing to chase criminal suspects would return a sense of lawlessness to the city’s streets.  The Milwaukee Police Department is keeping its current pursuit policy despite several high profile chases which resulted in injuries and a death.  Officials admit a pursuit is the most dangerous thing any law enforcement officer can do.  Department statistics show 38 percent of all chases last year were stopped to protect the public.
