The Green Bay Packers went for a pair of defensive players in the first round of the 2019 N-F-L Draft. Michigan defensive end Rashan Gary was taken with the number-12 pick after leaving college early as a junior. Gary’s versatility means he will start as an outside linebacker. The Packers traded their pick at number-30 and two fourth-round picks to move up to number-21 and take Maryland safety Darnell Savage. Savage had four interceptions for the Terrapins and produced an impressive four-point-36 time in the 40-yard dash at the N-F-L combine.
