The Francis Creek Lion’s Club are preparing for their 4th annual Crick Crossing 5k this weekend. We reached out to Chuck Bornemann of the Lion’s Club, who explained that the proceeds from the event will be going to the a couple of local groups. He told SeehaferNews.com “The proceeds from that event go to Francis Creek First Responders, Francis Creek Fire Department and also to diabetes awareness.”
We asked Borenemann why the Lions Club chose those particular places to donate the proceeds, and he said “Diabetes awareness is something that‘s near and dear to the heart of several of the Lion’s members.” He also said they wanted to give back to the people that give so much to the Francis Creek community, in the First Responders and Fire Fighters.
Registration can be done online, or at the event on Saturday morning. The cost is $20 in advance or $25 on the day. The weather is expected to be rather chilly with a chance of precipitati0on, so be sure to dress properly.
