A 63 year old convicted sex offender will soon be residing in Manitowoc, according to a Manitowoc Police Department Facebook post. William F. Perry has served his sentence, after being convicted of first degree sexual assault of a child, and will be residing in the 1100 block of South 19th Street. Perry is still on supervision with Wisconsin Probation and Parole, and will be through the beginning of 2027. He is not allowed to have any unsupervised contact with minors, or the victims of his crimes, he is not allowed to enter any bar, tavern, or liquor stores, and must remain absolutely sober. The MPD is informing the public, not in an attempt to scare them, but rather to keep them informed. Any harassment of the newly freed man will result in the police getting involved.
