Former Little Chute Teacher in Court for Sexual Assault

Former Little Chute High School teacher Jason LaVigne was in court yesterday for the first day of his sexual assault trial. The 46-year-old was arrested in June after he allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulted the same child around 20 years ago. The victim decided to come forward to a counselor at the school in 2009, claiming that LaVigne has rubbed up against her inappropriately ten years prior while she was in a keyboarding class. The victim was a freshman at the time. Despite the accusation, there wasn’t enough evidence to prove any wrongdoing, so nothing happened. He is now facing charges related to that incident after he was charged in a separate incident where he allegedly got a 16 year old girl drunk last June, and sexually assaulted her. LaVigne’s Trial is expected to continue on Wednesday.
