Call it an Easter miracle, but K9 Pyro has risen from his hospital bed and is now back with his handler in the Green Bay Police Department. Only two weeks after being stabbed in the neck during a standoff with a man carrying a gun, Pyro was shown to be full of energy and ready to get back into action during a news conference held by the Department. Pyro was stabbed during an incident with Sai Vang on April 7th, where Vang called the police and told them he was going to shoot his father and any police that approached the home. Pyro was deployed, and despite being stabbed multiple times, was able to successfully bring Vang to the ground. The GBPD explained that Pyro has to go through some more training, and will have him back to work in a limited capacity.
