Roncalli and Lincoln Compete in Boys Tennis Quadrangular

Manitowoc Lincoln hosted a quadrangular boys tennis meet over the weekend. Appleton Xavier came out on top in the event, while the host team came in second, and Roncalli took third. Lincolns only loss came in the first round, as they fell to the champs 5-2. The two wins the Ships got wins in that match up came from Jay Conrad in singles action, and the duo of Logan Newborn and Jock Rotter. The Ships defeated Racine Horlick in the second round, off victories from Logan Anderson, Mateo Seehafer, and the duo of Tyler Lambert and Laken Schultz. Anderson, Conrad, Jacob Rivest, and the duos of Newborn/Rotter, Schultz/Seehafer and Rudy Hartlaub and Sam Meyer all earned victories over Roncalli. The Ships are now 3-3, and will be back in action on Thursday. As for Roncalli, Nick Welnetz won two of his matches, the only player to do so. The Jets also got wins from Ethan Nguyen and the duo of Alec Schermetzler and Steffen Lipski.
