Now that Foxconn has scaled back its plans for a manufacturing facility in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin’s governor says it could be time to revisit the three-billion-dollar deal. Governor Tony Evers has been involved in talks to rewrite the contract. The wording of that deal spells out what targets Foxconn has to hit in order to qualify for state tax credits. The Taiwan-based company was supposed to create 260 jobs last year, but it fell short by more than 80. The original deal called for Foxconn to develop 13-thousand jobs, but Evers doesn’t believe that goal will be reached.
