Growing Public Support Means Legalizing Marijuana Has A Better Chance

Supporters of the legalization of marijuana have introduced the latest effort to accomplish the long-time goal.  State Representative Melissa Sargent joined other supporters at a Thursday news conference to reveal a new proposal.  Growing public support in Wisconsin gives them hope, but the Republican-controlled Legislature isn’t going to make it easy.  Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has said he would be open to a limited form of medical marijuana.  Vos and other members of his party are firm in the rejection of legalized recreational pot.
