Emergency officials in Sheboygan will be conducting a training exercise next Tuesday at 2:00 PM. The exercise, which will be held at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center, is designed to test and evaluate emergency procedures and teamwork by all involved agencies by simulating a crash of an aircraft at a local hospital facility. Items to be evaluated are incident command, emergency communications, public information, patient triage and tracking, and response to a large fuel spill. The exercise is expected to last for approximately 2 hours. Officials are asking that the public try to avoid the area of the exercise if possible to avoid unnecessary congestion. Sheboygan Fire Department, Flight For Life, St. Nicholas Hospital, Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Orange Cross Ambulance, Sheboygan Police Department, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, and Sheboygan County Emergency Management will all be participating.
