A 47-year-old Fairborn, Ohio man will be spending the next 2 years in federal prison after he was found guilty of defrauding Brillion Based Endries International out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Judge William Griesbach called Neil Harkness “the consummate conman” as he issued his sentence, which includes paying $219,057 in restitution to Endries. Harkness worked for Endries from 2014 until 2017 as a sales representative. During that time Harkness would submit fraudulent hotel receipts for reimbursement, and stole nearly $200,000 worth of an industrial adhesive made by the company, and sold it online. Harkness’ scam was discovered in the spring of 2017, and he was arrested, charged, and now found guilty of wire fraud.
