Three Injured in Motorcycle Crash in Gibson Sunday Identified

One of three motorcyclists involved in a crash over the weekend in Manitowoc County has died. The Wisconsin State Patrol says 48-year-old Linda Jane Griffey of Kewaunee passed away yesterday. 67-year-old Kenneth Griffey also of Kewaunee remains in the hospital with “non-life” threatening injuries while 58-year-old Thomas R. Bournoville of Luxemburg remains hospitalized with “life-threatening” injuries. A preliminary investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol indicates that a motorcycle driven by Bournoville was traveling on Highway R at Old Y Road in the Town of Gibson Sunday Afternoon. Bournoville began to slow down as a second bike driven by Kenneth Griffey struck Bournoville’s unit causing both drivers to lose control and all three individuals to be ejected onto the roadway. None of the motorcyclists were wearing helmets and heavy rain and alcohol are possible contributing factors to the crash which remains under investigation.
