The relatively new Green Alert system seems to be working the way it was intended, as 29 year old Jordon Joseph Shultz has been found safe. A Green Alert was issued for Shultz after he went missing on Monday at around 2:00 PM after last being seen in the Dodge County City of Burnett. The Green Alert System was put into place as a response to the disappearance and subsequent death of Combat Veteran Corey Adams. Adams went missing for eight days, but since he didn’t meet the missing person criteria, no alert was ever issued. Adams’ body was found 18 days after his disappearance. The Green Alert System works in the same fashion that the Amber and Silver Alerts do, with law enforcement releasing a photo, description, and any other information about the missing veteran that they can in an attempt to bring them home safely. This is the second time in the past couple of months that the system has proven effective in Wisconsin, after 38 year old Yuri Burrows was found safe in early March.
