
The Comets basketball team competed for the Manitowoc County Miracles at the State Special Olympics competition at the Kolf Sports Center in Oshkosh this past weekend. They brought home a bronze medal after three fun-filled games. They won their first game against the Wausau Woodchucks with a score of 22-14. Leading scorers were Mike Pribek with 12 points, Jeff Bocock with 4, and 2 each from Mark Pribek, Maggie Remiker, and Marsha Schwoerer. They struggled their second game, losing 8-27, against the LaCrosse Lynx. Oliver Schultz led all scorers with 4 points, along with 2 points each from Mark Pribek and Maggie Remiker. They lost a close third game against the Western Kenosha County Falcons, 18-22. Mike Pribek led with 10 points, followed by Mark Pribek with 4, and 2 each from Sara Benfield and Marsha Schwoerer. They ended their season with a record of 6 wins, 5 losses, and a lot of fun. The Comets were coached by Annette Wuellner and Tammy Robinson.
