Kiel Resident Killed in Car/Bicycle Crash

A 68-year old Kiel man has died from a car versus bicycle crash in Manitowoc County.  Major Jason Orth of the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office tells SeehaferNews.com that the auto driven by a 27 year old Manitowoc woman was traveling eastbound on County Road XX in the Town Meeme just after 3:30 yesterday afternoon, when the motorist struck the bicyclist who also was going east.  The man was transported by ThedaStar to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah where he later passed away.  The collision on XX between Herr & Pioneer Roads, remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.  Names of those involved have not been released. Other agencies assisting include: the County Coroner’s Office, Valders Ambulance & Fire Department and Cleveland Fire & First Responders.
