A 36-year old Sheboygan Falls man was taken to the Sheboygan County Jail Saturday night after being arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence, while having a child under the age of 16 as a passenger. The State Patrol says the driver identified as 36-year old Robert William was stopped for speeding on Highway 28, near County ‘M’, just before 9pm. The trooper detected indications of impairment & after doing field sobriety tests, took William into custody for first offense OWI with a minor in the vehicle. Meanwhile, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, which assisted with the arrest, is investigating a ‘domestic disturbance’ that occurred in the vehicle prior to the traffic stop. The adult passenger was taken to a local hospital for injuries while the driver is being held on charges of substantial battery-domestic violence related & intoxicated driving with a minor present.
