Mental health continues to be a major talking point for many people around the world. One group that is doing their best to help curb the trend of suicide, is the Valders Mental Health Task Force, and they are welcoming Jeff Yalden to the Lakeshore area. Yalden is a passionate advocate for mental health in youth and adults, and a leading authority on teen motivation, teen mental health, and teen suicide prevention and crisis intervention. His programs for teen mental health awareness, suicide crisis intervention, and suicide prevention are highly sought-after in school communities across the country. Yalden will be spending some time with the students at Valders High School on Wednesday, April 3rd before he speaks at the UW Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus Theater. The event is free, but people are asked to register online beforehand. You can register by going to EventBrite.com and searching for Jeff Yalden.
