Unemployment Rates dropped slightly last month in both Manitowoc and Manitowoc County. Preliminary numbers by the State Department of Workforce Development show the city’s jobless rate in February is three-point-three percent-a decrease from three-point-eight percent in January and last February’s number of four-point-one percent. Meanwhile, the county’s unemployment rate of three-point-five percent is two-tenths-of-a-percent lower than January’s number of three-point-seven percent and sixth-tenths of-a- percent down from February 2018’s figure of four-point-one percent. Preliminary February 2019 jobless data show declines in all 33 of the state’s largest cities and decreased or stayed the same in 68 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.
