Construction Could Begin In Summer On $5.5M Center At UWEC

There are still three more steps to complete before construction can start on a new five-and-a-half-million dollar welcome center at U-W-Eau Claire.  The first meeting is held tonight (Wednesday) by the Waterways and Parks Commission.  Final approval will come from the Eau Claire City Council and work could start by this summer.  Right now, the center is tentatively scheduled to open in 2020.
