A second Dane County Circuit Court judge has block parts of bills passed by Republicans during a lame-duck session of the legislature last December. That’s another legal victory for Democrats. Judge Frank Remington did let some sections of the new laws stand, like allowing Republicans to hire their own attorneys in some matters, rather than depend on Democrat Attorney General Josh Kaul. An appeals court could still re-instate the lame-duck bills.
