Dane County Circuit Judge Frank Remington is promising to release a written decision on the laws passed during a lame-duck session by the end of business today (Tuesday). Last Thursday the lame-duck session was ruled unconstitutional and a state appeals court is currently reviewing that ruling. At the same time, Governor Tony Evers says his staff is working as quickly as possible to fill 82 positions which were opened by the court ruling. Judge Remington says he will deny a request to dismiss the lawsuit made by an attorney for Republican lawmakers.
