There are six new city busses on Manitowoc’s roadways today. The newest members of Maritime Metro Transit were officially commissioned at 11:00 AM today at the Transfer Center, located at 915 South 11th Street. The cost of the busses was almost completely covered by grant funding from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, leaving the City on the hook for the remaining 20%. There won’t be more busses patrolling the streets however, as several of the older units were retired at the ceremony as well.
