The City of Manitowoc announced earlier today that Manitou and Lower Henry Schuette Park have been closed temporarily due to the potential for rising water on the Manitowoc River. According to the news release, the city is monitoring the water levels and will reopen the parks when there are no longer any safety concerns. The concerns come from some ice making its way along the river, with potential to jam up and cause flooding in the parks.
