Several more local Outdoor organizations have contributed to the reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the party(s) responsible for the shooting death of a bald eagle in Manitowoc County. Secretary of the Manitowoc County Fish and Game Protective Association Dean Halverson tells Seehafer News that The Pine River Sportsman’s Club—Izzak Walton League—Westshore Sportsmen—Shoto Conservation along with the Maribel and Francis Creek Sportsmen contributed an additional $1150, bringing the reward to $3950.
The shooting occurred December 7th, 2018 off of Randolph Street in Mishicot. The Eagle flew away and was spotted the next day at a nearby property and rescued by Wildlife Of Wisconsin—taken to a nearby for treatment where it died from its injuries. Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation must call Crime Stoppers at 683-4466 to be eligible for the cash reward.
