
The upward trend in the volume of new residential, commercial and industrial construction, upgrade and renovation projects along with building permit applications gained steam in a big way in the City of Sheboygan Falls in 2018. For the third consecutive year, building permit applications rose within the city in 2018, jumping from nearly $14 million in 2017 to over $21 million last year. Housing was a huge growth area for the city in 2018, as a grand total of 104 new housing units began the construction process over the past 12 months, up from 11 new housing developments in 2017. The city also saw an additional roughly $4.5 million in new industrial development for Dura-trel’s new manufacturing facility at Vision Business Park on County TT near County C and a major improvement project at Bemis Manufacturing.
