Manitowoc Police arrested a man after an argument with his girlfriend. Officers were called to the Econo Lodge on Washington Street at around 3:15 PM on Sunday on a report of a disorderly conduct complaint. When they knocked on the hotel room door and announced themselves, the woman inside said “thank goodness” according to the police report. She told officers that her boyfriend, a 35-year-old man she had been living with at the hotel for a couple of weeks, had threatened to kill her if she left. Officers arrested the man and found multiple knives, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. The man has been charged with Disorderly Conduct Domestic Violence Order and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
