The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has announced the launch of the Global Learning Program and Summer Scholars Program, which will help Northeast Wisconsin high school juniors and seniors prepare for college. These programs will give high school students the opportunity to take UW-Green Bay courses and earn college credits that transfer to thousands of colleges and universities across the country. As well, students will be able to gain valuable college prep skills, including time management and college-level information analysis.
The Global Learning Program combines community events with online discussions aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of global economic, political and cultural matters. Registration for this program is open now and ends on Friday, March 22, 2019. The program spans through spring and summer.
The Summer Scholars Program brings participants to the UW-Green Bay campus for four full days per week beginning on Monday, Jun. 17, 2019 and ending on Thursday, Jul. 11, 2019 to take courses in English, environmental science or astronomy. Participants will receive college credit for the course, as well as academic support and enrichment workshops on college topics including applications, financial aid and study skills. Registration for Summer Scholars is open now and closes Friday, May 17, 2019.
