There was a big local winner at the recent U.S. Championship Cheese Contest held in the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay. Out of thousands of entries in numerous categories, Pine River Pre-Pack Inc., in Newton won 3 ribbons. Their marketing director is Mary Lindemann.
When asked what the awards for Pine River Pre-Pack mean to them, Lindemann explains that “it’s gratifying on multiple levels.”
The Newton company will actually receive the ribbons and a special plaque during the Wisconsin Cheesemakers’ Association Conference at the Alliance Center in Madison April 11th.
