The Wisconsin Department of Transportation shut down traffic at the junction of state Highway 441 and U-S Highway 10 in Winnebago County Wednesday. Heavy rain caused a giant pothole which was 20 feet long and nine inches deep. At least four on and off ramps were shut down to traffic at that location, causing significant delays. Wis-DOT had to go to Milwaukee to come up with what is called a “hot mix” of asphalt to fix the problem. Some parts of the road were closed to traffic for nearly seven hours.
