Three Area Residents Announced As Recipients of Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Awards

Three area residents have been named as recipients of Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Scholarships.  A news release from Madison indicates that a $10-thousand dollar scholarship will be given to 188 graduating high school students, including Sabine LaLiberte of Manitowoc Lincoln & Katya Konopacki of Denmark & Roncalli High School.  They are Kohl Foundation Student Excellence Scholars.  One of those receiving a Kohl Foundation 2019 Teacher Fellow award…in the amount of $6-thousand dollars, is Rebecca Armbruster of Two Rivers and Mishicot Middle School.  Student scholarship winners demonstrated academic excellence & motivation, displayed activity & leadership ‘outside’ academics showing promise for success in college & beyond.  Those receiving Teacher Fellowships have shown an ability to inspire a love of learning in their students, to motivate others..and their leadership & service, in and out of the classroom. Local winners will be honored during a luncheon & award program at Appleton North High School at noon on March 30^th.
