A Manitowoc woman was caught stealing from Shopko on Saturday thanks to the help of a citizen who witnessed the crime. The Manitowoc Police Department received the call about the theft at around 6:00 Saturday evening, and when they arrived, a woman told officers she saw the female suspect leave the store and run into Pick N’ Save. The officer and citizen then devised a plan, where the woman would search the store for the suspect, while the officer waited by the door in case she tried to flee. The suspect was eventually located in a stall in the Men’s bathroom and was taken into police custody. The 30-year-old woman is being charged with Retail Theft, and it was estimated that the value of the perfumes she took was just shy of $1,300.
