The Wisconsin women’s hockey team didn’t win the regular season W-C-H-A title for the first time in four years, but the Badgers have claimed the post-season tournament. U-W beat the Minnesota Gophers 3-1 Sunday to take its eighth tournament championship. Goals were scored by Caitlin Schneider and Britta Curl, with an empty-netter from Annie Pankowski late in the action. The Badgers host Syracuse Saturday in an N-C-A-A quarterfinal game at LaBahn Arena. The winner advances to the Frozen Four.
